Edit a target

After creating a target, you can update its configuration to reflect changes in ownership, priorities, or organizational structure.

warning

The target URL and protocol are locked after creation and cannot be changed. If you need to scan a different URL, create a new target.

Steps to edit a target

1. Select Targets from the left-side menu.
2. Locate and click the target you want to update.
3. Once on the individual target's page, click the pencil icon next to the target name to open the Target info dialog.
4. Modify the available fields:
   • Name: update the target's display name
   • Team: reassign the target to a different team
   • Business criticality: change the business impact level or switch to Calculate automatically
   • Labels: add or remove custom labels for categorization and filtering
5. Click Save to apply your changes.
