Close or reopen vulnerability
You can manually close resolved imported vulnerabilities, or reopen previously closed vulnerabilities if they need further attention.
caution
Only imported vulnerabilities can be closed or reopened manually. Invicti AppSec manages vulnerabilities discovered automatically by scanners through the scan lifecycle, and you can't close or reopen them manually.
Prerequisites
- You must have write permission on vulnerabilities.
Close vulnerabilities
- Navigate to the project and open the Vulnerabilities tab.
- Check the boxes for the imported vulnerabilities you want to close.
- Click the Actions dropdown and choose Close.
- The modal shows two sections:
- Available Vulns: Imported vulnerabilities that aren't already closed. Invicti AppSec closes these when you confirm.
- Unavailable Vulns: Vulnerabilities that you can't close because they're either not imported or already closed.
- Click Close to confirm.
Reopen vulnerabilities
- Navigate to the project and open the Vulnerabilities tab.
- Check the boxes for the closed imported vulnerabilities you want to reopen.
- Click the Actions dropdown and choose Reopen.
- The modal shows two sections:
- Available Vulns: Closed imported vulnerabilities that you can reopen.
- Unavailable Vulns: Vulnerabilities that you can't reopen because they're either not imported or not in a closed status.
- Choose the status to assign to the reopened vulnerabilities:
- New: Treats the vulnerability as newly discovered.
- Recurrent: Treats the vulnerability as a recurring finding.
- Click Reopen to confirm.
