Choose the right report type for your security reporting needs
Keep your team informed and your organization compliant without manual effort. Invicti AppSec Core offers three types of reports, each suited to a different security reporting need. This document explains what each report type does and helps you decide which one to use.
Why this matters
Without automated reporting, security data stays inside the platform and only reaches stakeholders when someone logs in to check. Reports in Invicti AppSec Core push relevant data to the right people automatically, so your team can act on security findings instead of spending time gathering them.
Get regular vulnerability summaries with aggregation reports
Aggregation reports deliver a scheduled email summary of vulnerability data for a specific team or project. Use them to keep team leads and project owners informed on a weekly basis without requiring them to log in to Invicti AppSec Core.
For more information, refer to the Aggregation reports document.
Track how your vulnerability posture changes with comparison reports
Comparison reports show how your security data changes between reporting periods by comparing vulnerability metrics across products, projects, targets, or teams. Use them to measure whether remediation efforts are having an effect and to spot areas where vulnerability counts are increasing.
For more information, refer to the Comparison reports document.
Produce compliance-ready DAST reports
DAST compliance reports map your DAST scan results to regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA and produce a formatted report you can download as HTML or PDF. They appear under the Legacy section of the Reports left-side menu and are generated from other pages in Invicti AppSec Core, such as Scans or Vulnerabilities.
For more information, refer to the DAST compliance reports document.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the Reports section in the left-side menu
The Reports section is available to users with the following roles: Administrator, Owner, Security manager, Security analyst, and Viewer. Custom roles with Reports read or Reports full access permission also have access. If you don't have one of these roles or permissions, contact your Invicti AppSec administrator to request access.
