Amend role permissions

You can modify the permissions of both built-in and custom roles to adjust what users with that role can access and do in Invicti AppSec.

Steps to amend role permissions

1. Select Users and teams > Roles from the left side menu.
2. Click the permissions icon in the Actions column for the role you want to modify.
3. The permissions modal displays all resource categories and their associated permission scopes. Expand a category to view its child resources.
4. Add or remove permission scopes for each resource as needed. Available scopes include:
   • Read: view data
   • Write: create and modify data
   • Delete: remove data
   • Export: export data
   • Add: create new items
   • Approve: approve requests
   • Reject: reject requests
5. Click Save to apply your changes.

note

If you enable a write, delete, export, approve, add, or reject scope for a resource, the read scope is automatically enabled as well.

tip

Use the search field at the top of the permissions modal to quickly find a specific resource category.
