Schedule a scan
You can schedule a scan for a specific date and time from the scans calendar. The scheduled scan is added to the scan queue and runs at the specified time.
Prerequisites
- You must have write permission on scans.
Schedule a scan from the calendar
- Select Scans from the left-side menu.
- Click the Calendar tab.
- Click the + icon on the desired date.
- In the dialog, fill in the following fields:

| Project name | The project to scan. Start typing to search for a project. | Yes |
| Scanner | The scanner to use. The list shows the available scanners configured for the selected project, along with the branch and metadata. | Yes |
| Time | The time to run the scan (24-hour format). | Yes |
- Click Schedule.
After scheduling, the scan appears in the scan queue where you can verify it has been queued.
tip
You can only schedule scans for today or future dates.
Restrictions
You can't schedule a scan in the following cases:
- Disabled scanners: if the scanner tool has been disabled, it doesn't appear in the scanner list.
- Manual scanners: scanners configured for manual imports can't be used for scheduled scans.
- Past dates: you can't schedule a scan on a date that has already passed.
