Activate and deactivate scan agents
Managing scanner agents is critical to optimizing the performance and efficiency of your scanning operations in Invicti Enterprise. Turning off scanner agents can be useful for temporary troubleshooting, resource allocation, or maintenance purposes while turning them on ensures they are available to handle scan tasks as needed.
This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to turn scanner agents off and on within Invicti Enterprise, ensuring seamless control and minimizing downtime during these operations.
Steps to deactivate the scanner agent
- Select Agents > Manage Agents from the left-side menu.
- Locate the agent you would like to turn off and click the Disable button on the far right.

- A warning message appears to inform you that you are about to turn off the agent.
- Confirm this action, by clicking Yes, disable. Or cancel, by selecting No.
- A pop-up message appears to confirm this.
The agent is now turned off. You can verify this by checking the agent state on the Manage Agents page.
Steps to activate the scanner agent
- Select Agents > Manage Agents from the left-side menu.
- Locate the agent you would like to turn on and click the Enable button on the far right.
